Preventative Maintenance for copiers and printers is the most important element in equipment uptime, because it helps assess the potential for future problems and corrects possible issues before major breakdowns can occur. Our service department monitors your equipment on a regular basis to pinpoint possible problems.

Modular Document Solutions utilizes OMD software which is comprised of 15 modules including serialized inventory management, service dispatch management, and equipment histories.  OMD provides our technicians with instant visibility to the critical information about your account and equipment such as age, performance, usage, and condition. Our systems allow us to work proactively behind the scenes to stay one step ahead of malfunctions and deliver preventive steps that help avoid disruptions in your work flow.
 
MDS Service Technicians attend exhaustive manufacturers’ training courses on all equipment before receiving certification and obtain follow-up training when updates are available - on top of holding technical degrees or similar educational qualifications. We also leverage product specialists, who contribute greatly to our service organization by training and assisting all field personnel. MDS is very proud of its’ tenured service team.
 
Our technicians have state-of-the-art technology at their disposal to ensure you receive service in a timely manner. These tools, such as our Automated Dispatch System provided by ADS, accellerate response rates and maximize uptime. Using a cellular PDA, our technicians can dispatch and close calls, order parts, listen to past service comments, send test faxes, and more. These hand-held devices relay detailed equipment history, and allow for real time parts and supplies ordering, inventory management, and improve the coordination of technicians in the field.
 
We always try to send the same service technician when you call, so that a productive relationship may be established. Our technicians are partially compensated by how well your equipment performs, and its uptime percentages.  Assigning personal responsibility helps ensure customer satisfaction for years to come.
